I took an early morning hike deep in the wilderness of central Oregon. While trekking through the dark with a headlamp I had a feeling that it was going to be an epic day. A few minutes later the sun broke over the ridge and found a hole in the clouds just long enough to briefly illuminate the forest floor. It was an amazing show of beams and colors in the gentle fog.
