OOPS! A Wet Crash Landing
This moment of tremendous awe and beauty literally landed at my feet. I was at Wakodahatchee Wetlands when this juvenile coopers hawk either missed its landing spot or didn't realize there was water under the plants. With a huge splash, it crashed into the water below where I stood on the boardwalk. For several minutes, it sprawled in the water while cameras clicked like crazy and we waited to see if this beautiful, majestic bird needed help. After a bit, it flew to the railing. 1 of 4 photos.
