Edit Photo Details Sunrise Corn Harvest   #ontariofarmer
This is my husband and it's 7:15am. He's just finished a 12 hour shift at a fertilizer plant, and now he has come home to drive the combine harvesting corn before the sun is even over the horizon, because it has finally been cold enough, for long enough to freeze the puddles which have been in the field since mid October. Had he tried to harvest in the wet fields the weight of the combine would have compacted the wet clay and ruined several years of subsequent crops.
