Pounding Ginger Candy
My girlfriend and I were watching the people pounding Ginger Candy in Xian, China. After a few moments they motioned towards us to give it a go ourselves! This shot shows the motion and effort to swing these huge hammers a couple hundred times to flatten the candy syrup and you can see by our hosts arms that it is hard work! We were a great show for the wandering locals and it only impressed us more with how friendly and kind the people of Xian are.
