I didn't test the 12 minute promise (nor bother looking for any "telephone box" left by Dr. Who). I had a room booked somewhere else. Although the period charm of this place tends to draw you in, the six dollar rooms looked like they'd give you a difficult night. Noise from the street was the main problem. I did enjoy a 70 cent fruit smoothie in the establishment's dining verandah, overlooking the brown Phetchaburi River.
