A White-tailed deer (buck) poses with snow falling in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA. With the cold season at hand, Winter is hard on all. This specific buck is obviously old and his right eye is injured. He is more than likely blind in that eye. And this is the message of this photograph. Although injured and with snow falling, this animal is not close to giving up. His survival instinct is tremendous, more so than simply giving up. He will push through the seasons undeterred and focussed.
