This beautiful egret has been hanging around the nature park close to town. Unlike the grey herons and wild swans in the park that tolerate relative proximity, this bird does not seem to appreciate anyone getting close. One step in its direction and it flies off to another field. (This photo is cropped because it was still very far) I go to the park often and keep my distance in the hope it will eventually get used to my presence.
