Edit Photo Details Ristras - celebration of Fall.   #streetvender #ristra #chilippers
Fall is a season for chiles in New Mexico. You find them everywhere - for sale at the stores and markets, in food at restaurants and fairs. I came across this truck just outside a store in a small town. Of course we bought some ristras for the house. People of New Mexico believe that the ristras protect the house from evil. I decided to leave my husband's shadow in the photo - it appears as if it is pointing towards the truck.
