1935 Duesenberg Victoria Hood Ornament
This is a hood ornament or mascot from a 1935 Duesenberg Victoria Straight 8, which was one the finest cars of that period. They were as fine & as expencive as a Rolls Royce & they were made in St. Paul, Minnesota. Their gorgeous hood ornament sculpture also had a working thermometer inside it and you could tell, at a glance, whether or not the engine was overheating. But, it became obvious that they couldn’t have something this beautiful on the outside of the car, because people stole them.
