Live Oak - Boone Hall Plantation
While visiting Boone Hall Plantation in Mouth Pleasant, South Carolina I was caught under an ancient live oak during a thunderstorm on a late summer's afternoon. I was struck by the majesty of age old oak which sheltered me. The awesome beauty of these denizens of the Old South can only be felt not seen. That being said, perhaps a hint of the beauty might be enough to excite the senses and inspire a visit.
