Lamps in a line
I often pass this lamp shop in the Medina in Marrakesh - each time I wonder how long it takes to set up the display of lamps in the morning, and pack away again at night. The display appears to be set out with military precision. These lamps are made of very fine leather, dyed with traditional colours such as saffron for the orange/yellow; and then designs painted on the leather with henna. The frames are hand made in the nearby metalworkers souk.
