As night falls, we slept in a rest house at 2800 m above sea level, just 343 m in elevation away from the summit of Mt Fansipan, Vietnam. The moon shines proudly creating a silhouette of a barren tree against dusk sky. The power line supplying electricity to the peak of Mt Fansipan cuts across the skyline.
