    This photo was taken during Stockton International Riverside Festival 2018 of a performance called The Glass Ceiling. It was a show for the senses, celebrating 100 years since the first group of British women were granted the right to vote. I found it particularly powerful because it focused on the fight put forward by the women of the north east of England and even 100 years later, women’s rights are still an ongoing fight which globally seems to have really come to the forefront in 2018.
