    During a photographic field trip with a friend who lives in rural Pike County, GA, we stumbled upon an old barn which held the remains of a sign which had once marked a cemetery dedicated to Confederate veterans of the Civil War. As our country debates the place and meaning of commemorations of the Confederacy, this sign consigned to the scrap heap in a rural barn seemed to comment on that question...
