The first day in Rome i got horribly lost trying to find the Colosseum. We had been walking for 2 hours trying to follow the map from the hotel when we stopped for help. Apparently we were no longer even on the map. With some directions in Italian, we put down the map and walked towards the ancient sites of Rome. It was in this alleyway, at twilight, that we caught the first glipse of this ancient stadium.
