While working up to a project in which I shoot pictures of humans, I've been practicing photographing dogs. This gives me a way to get to know the humans, while making both animal and owner feel comfortable that I'm photographing the pet. This dog was a female Chihuahua-mix; the second I made eye contact with her, she was happy to roll over for an adorable shot.
