I was in Saint Louis visiting relatives after Christmas. I decided to tour the basilica and learn a little from its history. The building was one of the more beautiful churches I have ever seen. The artistry and craftsmanship and extreme attention to detail was evident throughout. Every color you could imagine was on the walls and ceiling but not a single drop of paint. It’s all glass, stone or gold.
