This stellar female snowy owl perched on an ice floe along the Milwaukee lakefront, a mile from the heart of downtown, and while I, as an aspiring wildlife biologist, actively seek these owls out to better understand their habits, this one was complete happenstance. I pulled over to look at a cool chunk of ice in the lake and there just happened to be a SNOWY OWL perched on top. Yeah, it was kinda, totally, completely awesome.
