Just as I was about to lose evening light, I started to walk back to my car after photographing a coyote. I paused though and looked up on a small hill where the evening light was sitting perfectly. I waited a few minutes and hoped for the best. To my surprise, the coyote reappeared from the woods right where I had hoped. The golden, evening light backlit the coyote perfectly and to top it off, the coyote started to bark! It was a moment I will never forget and I am grateful for it.

The late day golden light adds a whole new dimension to this recognizable moment we might see of coyotes or other large wild dogs. I love how the light catches its breath in the cool air, it's an awesome little detail for the story of the moment.
