Te Rewa Rewa
The Te Rewa Rewa bridge is a pedestrian and cycle way connecting the two banks of the Waiwhakaiho River in New Plymouth, New Zealand. It is situated near a historic and sacred Maori pa - Rewa Rewa. Its design is reminiscent of both a whale skeleton and a breaking wave and is the winner of two prestigious international awards. If you stand on the north side of the bridge looking south you will see in the distance Mt Taranaki framed majestically within the spirals of the bridge.
