    Reported by:

I had originally visited this place in May of 2018 and later I heard that part of the bridge was burn due to a fire that started from a cigarette. I was saddened to hear it and at the same time worried because of course this places holds history. My friend Michael Hardy (pictured) had the courage to walk over to the burn area and he described it as a minor black spot on the old rotten wood in the middle. British Columbia has been suffering from forest fires which tend to get worse every year.
