The boat graveyard in Abu Dhabi is a beautiful place to take photos, especially with the contrast of the old, broken down dhows against the backdrop of gleaming new skyscrapers. I always feel sad to think of the loving craftsmanship that went into these boats. They would once have been someone's pride and joy, and used to earn a tough living catching fish or pearl diving before the discovery of oil in the region.
