Makar Sankranti is one of the ancient festival day in Hindu Calendar. It marks the first day of Sun's transit into Capricorn. It is celebrated in different colourful ways in India. Flying kites is also a part of it. I got this shot in Mangalore at the bank of Phalguni river.
