    This is a monarch butterfly that my class raised from a tiny little caterpillar. The children harvested milkweed each day to feed the caterpillars. Then we watched in awe as the caterpillars became chrysalides. Then after the butterflies emerged we brought them outside. This is the last moment before the last one flew away! If we are not careful with our environment we may loose these spectacular creatures forever.
