My visit to Jaipur a few months back was solely to visit this site, long awaiting its place amidst World Heritage sites. I wasn't disappointed. This stepwell is located off the Jaipur-Agra road. One is not allowed to go down to the water, although you may be tempted to. Enjoy the architecture, marvel its geometry and human skills of that era.
