A black headed gull taking off from the lake at Studley Royal Deer Park near Ripon, North Yorkshire. I often watch these gulls as they fly round the lake, being fed by children and families and squabbling between themselves as they try to steal food from each other. I find them fascinating and love the interactions. This shot reminded me of the x-wing fighters from the Star Wars films.
