    Edit Photo Details Moonrise at Palouse Falls   #sky #water #night #waterfall #stars #nightscape #longexposure #moonrise #nightsky #palousefalls
Captured in a single exposure, there was just enough residual light from the stars and rising moon to illuminate the falls and surrounding cliffs. This was a surreal experience for me as I had just driven 5 hours to get here, and arrived in the dead of night... The sky was perfectly clear and I could hear the falls roaring in the distance, so I opted to get out my tripod and try for some star shots. Walking down to the overlook and finally seeing the glow of the massive waterfall was magical.
