When I understood that this sea lion in the zoo Basel had a hurt or lost eye, I felt so sorry for it. It really seems that this sea lion is somehow "sad" or at least is not so well as it did not react when the feeding time was. It is heartbreaking to see it. But it is also the reality. Living in a zoo might be not ideal. Nature is best. But at least the animals have the best treatment in case they are hurt. But it also shows how vulnerable all creatures on earth are.
