During my visit to the Jacksonville Zoo, I was intrigued with the giraffes and how often they stick out their tongues. It is almost as if their tongue has a mind of its own. When you look into the soulful eyes of these animals, you know you are in the presence of greatness. Talking with their keepers and learning how they spend time to enrich the lives of the giraffes and have a breeding program to preserve the species, I am glad I went.
