I remembered including my hand in the soft black thumb brace in my photo on the Take Care assignment. My occupational therapist made a hard plastic brace for my arthritic thumb so for fun I created this cropped closeup in black and white. I like the difference in the texture of the smooth brace and the rougher texture of my skin, the curled Velcro strap at right, and the patterned white towel I used as a background.
