Roaming the wilderness
This is a band of local wild horses that inhabit the area around the Salt River and Tonto National Forest. In recent weeks there has been an increase in poaching and poisoning of these animals. The Salt River Wild Horse Management Group as well as many volunteers have been keeping an eye on things. They have been slowing vehicles down that are going to fast, stopping traffic to let the horses cross roads in safety as well as helping sick or injured horses. I was lucky I saw them today!
