Edit Photo Details Eric the honeybee   #honeybee_closeup
I am fascinated by honeybees and enjoy watching them coming and going from several hives in the botanic garden. I approach the hive slowly and deliberately and sit down within a few feet of the opening and to one side so that I may photograph them. I named this one "Eric" after a Monty Python song about a half-a-bee named the same. These insects are also under great environmental pressures and we would likely starve if these beautiful creatures disappear.
