    Reported by:

A big male polar bear is awaking from a nap deep in a fjord of northern Svalbard. I can´t believe, that I could be among the last generation to have the chance to stand in this otherworldly cold, icy landscape and see this amazing large predator. It makes me feel incredibly lucky and extremely sad. Nonetheless, as conservation biologist this moment was one of the hightlights of my yet young career!
