Last year, we were shooting near an old brickyard. I spent some of my free time with the labourers, talking with them about their routines and working, and realised how much effort goes into the birth of a brick. It takes 15 days to bake a brick. These brick-makers work for 16-20 hours a day in oven-like ambience, with their feet on fire. All this for extremely low wages. Undeniably, they are the real heroes behind our standing houses, mansions & megastructures.
