Edit Photo Details Possum Portrait   #possum
Last week, here in Oakland, California, we had endless buckets of rain all day, and out of nowhere, possums appeared in my yard. It was so unusual to see possums during the day, and there were three or four of them, soaked to the skin, and making bee-lines from point to point around my yard. At one point, this one climbed up into the winter-stripped branches directly across from my kitchen window and I was able to take this portrait. I like how the branches naturally frame it's triangular face.
