Edit Photo Details Watching her dance   #hummingbirds #allens_hummingbird #birdsin_flight #annas_humminbird
A female Anna's hummingbird hovers close to a male Allen's hummingbird. While this photograph has a quality of playfulness to it - the male seems to be engrossed, likely the female is asserting her right to that dry branch. I witnessed this dance - which lasted all of two seconds - as a blur. I was waiting for the male to turn around, when this female arrived and it was all done and gone in a flash. Glad to have captured that moment.
