On a cold and icy winter afternoon with cabin fever setting in I decided to grab my gear and go for an icy walk at a nearby conservation area. The trail paths were ice rinks but that did not stop me from venturing into quiet forest to see what I could find. It wasn’t a few minutes later that I noticed a woman standing by herself about 20 metres off the main path. She whispered to be quiet as I approached. What a site- just a few feet away was this gorgeous barred owl happy to pose away!!
