The Lonely Planet
We cruised the Beaufort Sea amidst strong gusty winds & stormy sea conditions. Out boat rocked violently as we were busy looking out for these bears. It is not easy to locate the polar bears out in these open barren islands. Polar Bears here live a very challenging life wandering long distances in search of food. As the arctic sea ice has receded the bears find it difficult to catch their natural prey and thus have been scavenging or taking any easy food they can catch. These bears are fighting.
