The Quiet Storm
Despite it's mountainous surroundings, snow is an uncommon sight in the suburbs surrounding Vancouver, Canada. While the city streets grind to a halt, a new serenity engulfs its parks, fields and forests. Here, a gust of wind tosses snowflakes through the air like confetti while a brightly lit sawmill sits idle in the distance. It's machinery muted by the blanket of white.
