On a cloudy and slightly rainy winter day in Deception Pass State Park I was lucky enough to come across a romp of otters swimming in Cranberry Lake. There were 6 in all, and occasionally they would pop up and chow down on trout out in the lake. As I walked along the shore I came across this otter who had taken his catch onto a mossy log. I was able to snap a few shots before he spied me and took his meal back into the depths. For a dreary day, I liked how the colors of this shot came together.
