The "Lynx" under sail in Pensacola Bay. The Lynx is a square topsail schooner with a wooden hull 78 feet in length, displacement 99 tons and the front mast is 94 feet high. The ship has a crew of ten. Onboard are 8 cannons which my wife and I learned the hard way actually do fire causing her and I to jump about 10 feet in the air. The Lynx will leaving Pensacola in a few days heading to St. Petersburg, Florida. We'll miss her!
