Golden-Mantled Ground Squirrel
Always mistaken for it's look a like, the chipmunk, the Golden-Mantled Ground Squirrel has a home in the rocks by Moraine Lake. He's unafraid and accustomed to humans as they love to feed him. This summer I saw him run over feet & bags from tourist to tourist to ask for food. In this photo, he was waiting for a tourist beside me to keep giving him food. He is no longer truly wild.
