No lights on the horizon
January 2019 on the SF Bay was wet. Felt like the rain would never stop. In between storms the mood was quiet but not desolate (I could not hear the birds or the cars on the bridge.) And there were no morning "wake up" lights on the horizon, the stretch of land from Richmond to Oakland. The sun still rose but with different intent than normal. It dyes the water an oxblood red and illuminates the cloudy sky in the exact same shade. Winter on the San Francisco Bay. It could not be lovelier!
