As we settled in for the night on an island off Matnog in Sorsogon Province, Philippines, I spotted this lone tree near the shore. I waited for the stars to slowly appear - then I prop up my camera on a tripod and patiently took this long exposure shot. Luckily the island was far enough that there was very little light pollution.
