Wanting to juxtapose darkness with a sunflower, I shot this photo in bright daylight sun, and then I used the brush tools in Lightroom to black out the background. I wanted to draw attention to the individual little hairlike structures on the stem and the veins in the leaves. I also shot this with a wide angle lens to create an unusual perspective for this image.
