Fleet Farming is a program in which property owners can donate part of their land such as a front yard for a ‘farmlette’. Volunteers and workers plant, maintain and harvest the produce for local restaurants and co-ops. Using neighborhood and urban land this way reduces our carbon emissions currently in our food cycle by keeping food local with minimal need for transportation, bicycle powered transport is their main method instead of emission producing vehicles.
