There are a few memories that I hold dear. Like visiting my grandmother's house, and the ice cream shop down the street from there. This is what summer was to me, and I want my children to experience those long, dreamy summers too. Studies have shown that people take climate change into consideration in family planning. As summers get more extreme not only in temperature but in floods, droughts, and wildfires, it's hard to know for sure that my child will experience these carefree summers too.
