    What draws me to the white sands is how, from far away it really looks like you're looking at a soft sheet of snow. I could imagine stepping into the sands and not knowing whether it would be hot or cold to meet me beneath my feet. I also love the kind of vegetation that you can find in the desert, this place is covered in a kind of sparse vegetation that often has a stark contrast to the bright sand that lies beneath it, making it stick out and catch your eye.
