    Makar Sankranti - Kite flying festival in India is celebrated on 14th of January every year. It marks the first day of sun's transit into the Makara (Capricorn), marking the end of the month with the winter solstice and the start of longer days. Kites are flied as the wind from this day, according to Solar cycle, blows towards North and are enjoyed with various delicacies with the family on the rooftop. A festival celebrated in various in various states of India 🇮🇳.
