Floating Bed Agriculture
Floating bed agriculture is a method of growing crops upon prolonged submerged land on “Dhap” (made of decomposed aquatic plants or water hyacinth). For more than three centuries, floating bed agriculture is a useful method considering the economic, environmental as well as social aspects. This hollistic approach is an example of the adaptation to adverse climatic condition.
